About the event

Practical Training for Pastoral Care and Prayer Ministry

Overview

Making Sense of Prayer is a practical and accessible training event designed to equip pastoral workers, church leaders, and those serving in caring ministries with the confidence and skills to offer prayer to others.

Prayer is one of the most meaningful ways we can support people in times of need. Yet many who serve pastorally feel unsure about how to approach prayer in real-life situations. This session provides a thoughtful, grounded, and pastorally sensitive framework for offering prayer that is both authentic and appropriate.

Through a blend of teaching, discussion, and guided practice, participants will explore how to listen well, respond with compassion, and pray in ways that respect each person’s dignity, beliefs, and circumstances.

This training is suitable for anyone involved in church ministry, chaplaincy, pastoral visiting, or any setting where supporting others through prayer is part of their role.
