Our Services
If you sense that you need strengthening in your ministry skills, you are not alone. Many pastoral workers find themselves wondering what training is required, what development would be helpful, or even whether they need further training at all. Others are carrying the quiet weight of exhaustion, aware that what they need is not simply more information, but renewal and clarity in their calling.
At Make Sense, we believe Christ gives leaders to equip His people so that the Church may be built up (Ephesians 4:11–12). Equipping is not a sign of inadequacy; it is part of God’s design for healthy ministry. Whether you are seeking practical skills, clearer direction, or space for refreshment and formation, we invite you to explore what we offer. Our training and ministry is designed to meet you where you are — helping you grow in confidence, competence, and resilience for the work God has entrusted to you.
You do not have to navigate the demands of ministry alone. There is support available, and we would be glad to walk alongside you.
About Us
At Make Sense, we are committed to strengthening pastoral ministry through clarity, formation, and practical support.
We recognise that today’s pastoral workers carry significant responsibility. They navigate complex community needs, safeguarding expectations, leadership challenges, and spiritual care—often while trying to discern what training is required, recommended, or simply helpful for their context. The landscape can feel demanding and unclear.
We exist to help ministries and individuals make sense of their ministry training requirements with confidence and purpose.
Whether ordained, commissioned, employed, or serving in a voluntary capacity, pastoral workers deserve thoughtful preparation and ongoing development. Through theologically grounded, practical training in Christian ministry and pastoral skills, we equip leaders to serve with competence, integrity, and Christ-shaped compassion. Our training integrates spiritual formation with real-world ministry practice, ensuring leaders are both faithful and effective.
Our vision is simple and purposeful: equipped pastoral workers, flourishing churches, and communities transformed through wise, compassionate leadership.

Lisa Way
Founder
After almost 15 years serving in Christian ministry — from youth work in local churches to missions abroad, and most recently as Director of Operations for Acorn Christian Healing Foundation — I founded Make Sense with a clear conviction: the Gospel of Jesus should be accessible to everyone, and so should the tools to share it well.
Throughout my ministry journey, I’ve seen firsthand that formal theological training, while valuable, isn’t always possible for everyone who feels called to serve. As well as this, churches and ministries are heavily reliant on volunteers who require ongoing training and investment to prevent burnout and frustration, and to maintain a joy for what they do. Passion and calling shouldn’t be limited by access to professional development. Make Sense was born out of a desire to bridge that gap — providing practical, thoughtful, and approachable resources that equip people to minister with clarity and confidence.
I bring hands-on experience, operational leadership, and a deep love for the Church into everything I create. I care about making complex ideas understandable, ministry sustainable, and learning both meaningful and manageable.
At Make Sense, we will help you communicate the Gospel faithfully, effectively, and in a way that truly connects.
